My dog has a dark spot on his skin that is flaky?

My 1 year old German Shepherd/chow/lab mix has a couple of dark spots if you put your hand through his fur. When I try to pull it out it obviously hurts him because he tries to bite me. When I pull it out it is all flaky, before it was in just one spot but now its in 3 spots on his back. My friends told me it could be ringworm, or either because my other dog bites him while they're playing and rips the fur out. Once I pulled enough of the flaky stuff out, there was just dry blood under it, I can't take him to the vet at this time, but I plan to take him tomorrow. Is this skin problem something I should be really worried about?

Give him a bath then see if it's still there, could be dandruff...If it's getting bigger, get it to a vet.
Reply:try to put some neosporen on it this will not hurt him I have three boxers and they like to play ruff this is what I us on them it helps
Reply:Sounds like a bacterial infection
Reply:Your dog might have a skin condition called Mange. Mange is very easy to treat but the vets will tell you to buy some really expensive cream or ointment. But this is what you do for mange.

Go to an auto repair shop or garage, and ask them to give you some old motor oil in a can or jar or bottle, whatever. Then apply the old motor oil on the spots and leave it on until your dog needs a bath, then reapply until the spots go completely away. It works!

This is the best treatment ever, even if it is the cheapest cure you'll ever hear of in your life! It is an old timers remedy.
