Hes been scratching at it and more extra skin has appeared under his neck its wierd because theres always been extra sking but not this much is it something wrong with him or it it just something natural. PS Its a Chocolate Lab.
My dog has some extra skin under his neck is it a problem?
Extra skin doesn't really indicate a problem. I would suggest taking him to the vet for just a weight check (it's free) to make sure it's not because he is losing weight.

Reply:I have a choco lab(1 year old) and he has loose skin under his neck and it's just because of his growth. I can't tell for sure about your dog since i dont have a picture but it seems normal though i cant explain the scratching....i dont know if the scratching would have anything to do with the skin though. Necks are a typical itchy spot for dogs so his scratching doesn't have to be related to the skin problem. If it does seem unusual you should definently see your vet.
