My dog has a problem with her skin and shes a white pit now she has pink spots?
Hi, I have a white pitt and she gets pink spots also, especially after being in the sun for not very long at all. If you are really worried about it you can call your vet and have it checked out but Im sure shes fine, I watch my girl go thru this but shes perfectly healthy. Hope you get it figured out!
Reply:take her to the vet!
Reply:im not sure but i think thats just normal pigmet in her skin... some will have black spots ...some pink. ive seen it before... its not uncommon..
Reply:You need to take her to the vet right away because she may have a skin desiese or somthing so take her right away!!!!!!!!!
Reply:well CALL your vet first. i think its normal but i would still call.i have seen it on alot of animals!
Reply:do the spots seem to bother her? does she scratch at them? Does she cry if you touch them? How long has she had them? did they just appear? how old is she? does she have a history of skin problems? there really isn't enough info to help, sorry!
Reply:Im stumped maybe da mange. Call da vet.
Reply:My Boyfriends Grandma has a White and Brown Pit and when she oes outside she gets spots on her but they go away after she has been in the ac.

she has a lot of allergies too.

Take her or at least ask the Vet about it just to be sure.

Wouldn't want anything to happen to your Baby.
Reply:Dogs can get sunburned too very easily. Maybe that's it. Did they just appear? Do they hurt and are sore when you touch them? Do she not like you touching them? They could be something simalar to a hot spot if so. How old is she? Has all her fur changed to the final color? Has she lost all her puppy fur? My pits tail changed color from black to having a white stripe after she lost all her puppy fur. Did she get into something lately that she shouldn't of? Is she alergic to anything? A grass allergy may cause this. Is her skin dry. That could be it too. If her skin is dry at all her skin may get irritated a lot easier than normal. Did you use a new doggie shampoo on her? That could be it too. Think dear really think of all the possibiltities.

If the spots hurt her or last too long take her to the vet. If you think it could be an allergic reaction to something take her to the vet too fast. Dogs can do the same thing we do when we have an allergic reaction and her throat can close and all that and she may die. If you have no idea if she's allergic to something take her to the vet just in case. Better a small bill than risk losing your baby. K

Good luck
